A luminous sculpture composed of a resin base and a silver-toned synthetic rigid “glass-looking” bear, commercially manufactured and customized, hand-finished by the artist Pope using a manual application technique of premium polymer vinyl.
The work personally carried out by the artist includes graphic design, adapting the visual to the sculpture’s shape, precise vinyl cutting, and the manual positioning and application of each element.
Each copy of this edition is individually personalized and hand-finished by the artist Pope.
The limited edition applies exclusively to the graphic customization and artistic finish carried out by the artist Pope, and not to the base commercially produced illuminated sculpture.
Who is Pope?
Pope, cofounder of the AMA collective, develops a distinctive artistic universe grounded in visual arts practiced since childhood, with a high standard for detail and careful visual research.
Through sculptures, paintings, and installations, he draws inspiration from photography, urban landscapes, and everyday scenes, with a sensitive and awed gaze, attentive to both the simplicity and the complexity of the world around him.
Pope primarily draws inspiration from the world around him but also from movements of renowned artists such as Banksy, Keith Haring, Koons, Orlinski, Takashi, Fred Allart, Shepard Fairey, Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hamilton, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Alec Monopoly, KAWS, Pantone, Mr. Brainwash, Blek le Rat, to name just a few.
Whether as a gift, a keepsake, or part of your contemporary art collection, you will surely find your favorite piece among our diverse works. Indeed, Pope pursues his urban art passion through street art (streetart) and pop art (popart)—in limited or non-limited editions—covering a wide range of themes such as cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum), the dollar, money, gold, wealth, the sex industry, drug abuse, luxury fashion brands, the world of comics and video games, the pharmaceutical industry and medicines, recycling and upcycling, food and fashion industry products (sports, sneakers…),
Brands guide our choices and often our lives, sometimes without us realizing it. Aware of this impact, Pope enjoys teasing labels such as Louis Vuitton (LV), Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, Rolex, Yves Saint Laurent (YSL), Supreme, Obey, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG, Mercedes, Nike (Air Jordan), Adidas (Stan Smith), Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Marvel and Avengers (Batman, Joker, Superman...), Disney (Mickey, Scrooge McDuck...), Nintendo, Sega, Tintin, Lego, Pokemon, Vans and many others.
Dear bidders, our collective puts every effort into clearly detailing all information necessary to evaluate the lot for sale: dimensions, weight, description, and photos... After the sale, no unjustified claims will be considered. Thank you for your understanding.
