AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Oil-on-canvas painting measuring 59x52 cm. The work has 6 cm of excess canvas on all sides to avoid problems when stretching it on the frame. The piece is sent with a certificate of authenticity. For safety, the work is shipped inside a waterproofed rigid cardboard tube with caps.

In Abstracción C2, the creator plays with the overlap of vertical planes and geometric weaves where material textures and the richness of nuances take on particular prominence. The composition stands out for a strong chromatic contrast supported by a background in crimson and burgundy tones, from which angular and circular shapes emerge in lime green, pistachio green, light blue, warm orange, and neutral touches. The meticulous technical work in the color areas stands out, where grainy textures provide relief and visual three-dimensionality to the overall piece. A vibrant work, full of expressive force and with a high decorative value, ideal for both private collectors and contemporary design spaces.

Paco Guzmán is an eclectic artist with a long career behind him. He graduated from the Llotja School in Barcelona in pictorial techniques and mural painting. His work is in private collections in the United States, Taiwan, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Italy. He has participated in various exhibitions in art galleries and has shown his work at different international art festivals. He also works as a professional caricaturist.

Paco Guzmán, born in 1970 in Ulldecona, Tarragona, is a Spanish graphic artist, painter and caricaturist. From an early age, he showed notable drawing ability, creating caricatures of his teachers and classmates. Although he initially took an interest in comics, he soon leaned toward impressionist painting and caricature.
In 1992, he began his painting career as a self-taught artist, focusing on classical motifs such as still lifes. Subsequently, he completed a correspondence course in artistic drawing, balancing his studies with work in a furniture factory. His passion for art led him to dedicate himself fully to painting and caricature, creating caricatures of friends and tourists, which allowed him to refine his technique.

Between 1997 and 2002, he studied at the Esardi School in Amposta, in collaboration with the Llotja de Barcelona, specializing in painting techniques and mural painting. During this period, he left his factory job to focus on his artistic studies, supporting himself through occasional work and his street art.

Throughout his career, Guzmán has developed an eclectic style, combining contemporary painting with caricature. He has published the book "901 Caricatures", which collects more than one hundred caricatures of famous figures, created with various techniques such as acrylic on canvas, digital painting, oil on canvas, and graphite on paper.

Additionally, he has participated in exhibitions such as "Anatomia de les ànimes i visions caricaturesques" at the Espai Expositiu DeltArt in Deltebre, where he presented works created during the lockdown, reflecting an evolution in his technique and creativity.

Paco Guzmán continues to explore new forms of artistic expression, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the field of painting and caricature in Spain.
