This painting presents a autumnal forest full of light, color and depth, traversed by a leaf-covered path that leads the gaze into the heart of the trees. The scene conveys an immediate sense of serenity and contemplation, as if the viewer has just paused mid-walk to observe the quiet landscape. The absence of human figures allows nature to become the sole protagonist.

The path begins at the bottom of the composition and proceeds gently toward the center, narrowing as it goes deeper among the trees. Its surface is completely covered with fallen leaves in brown, reddish, ochre and orange tones. This accumulation forms a kind of natural carpet that adds warmth to the scene and clearly marks the visual route toward the brighter area of the forest.

On both sides of the path rise numerous slender vertical trunks. Some grow straight, while others have slight tilts that bring movement and naturalness to the whole.
