For your information: The white line in the photo is simply due to the reflection of a lamp when the photo was taken. The artwork has no white line on it. It has no defects whatsoever. This clearly proves its glossy finish.

Mixed media—paint on canvas and Plexiglas—giving it exceptional brilliance and a very pretty effect. Plexiglas raised above the canvas, which gives a splendid look and a lovely shadow cast on the canvas. A real little jewel!

This contemporary art creation uses a complex technique of relief overlay (Three-dimensional Mixed Media):
First plane: A high-end acrylic glass (Plexiglas) sheet, manually painted with acrylics with transparent effects.
Second plane: A traditional wooden-stretch canvas, hand-painted, serving as a dynamic background.
The artistic effect: The physical stacking of the Plexiglas painted above the canvas creates a true 3D depth play. Depending on room lighting and viewing angle, a subtle dialogue arises between the gloss areas of the Plexiglas, the actual shadows cast on the underlying canvas, and the textures of the paint. A visually evolving experience.

I am PLM-Art, a Dutch-born artist (female) born in 1975, painter and sculptor.

I create in painting and/or sculpture, mainly what I feel or want to make others feel. There is both figurative and abstract in my work.
My works are inspired by my travels, by nature, and by my emotions.

The artistic effect: The physical superposition of the painted Plexiglas over the canvas creates an incredible 3D depth effect. Depending on the room's lighting and the viewing angle, a subtle interplay emerges between the gloss of the plexiglass, the real shadows cast onto the canvas underneath, and the painted textures. A constantly shifting visual experience.
