Magnificent decorative wooden wall panel painted by hand, crafted in the purely traditional taste of Swiss folk art (Scherenschnitt / paper cutting from Pays-d'Enhaut and Poya spirit).
The work presents a striking contrast with a white monochrome painting of extreme fineness, executed on a bright red background recalling the Swiss colors.
The composition is rich in details and organized symmetrically on several levels:
• Center top: A large ornate heart housing the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph and the Child Jesus in the manger, surrounded by the donkey and the ox.
• Center bottom: A traditional stylized stable in a mountain chalet, welcoming the shepherds under a decor of vegetal arcades.
• On the sides: A pastoral frieze animated by blending alpine vegetation (pines), touches of Orient (palms), figures in traditional dress, porters with burdens and herds of cows.
Signed on the back in gold letters "Faby Kyo".
Very good overall condition. The paint and surface varnish are well preserved
