Nestled in the rocky and wild hills of the Hautes Corbières, Domaine Sainte Croix is located in the commune of Fraïssé des Corbières, a small village in the south of France, at the border between Languedoc and Roussillon, 20 minutes from the Mediterranean Sea.
The blue-steel limestone, quartz clays, or green and purple slate soils make up the 13 hectares of a complex terroir.
These vines benefit from a pronounced mesoclimate in which maritime influences mingle with those of the back country, drier and warmer. This yields red, rosé and white wines with a strong personality, a blend of concentration and elegance.

There are many similarities with nearby Roussillon, (one valley further south). In this terroir, the local patois derives more from Occitan than from French. Grenache has long been renowned there; today, these same vines are cultivated, sheltered by its ancient walls of golden stones, bordered by fig trees, almond trees and cherry trees.

Dense cherry-red color.
Aromas of cassis, dark leaves, prune, raspberry and gooseberry.
On the palate, cassis, dark fruits, and prune accompany a lovely freshness, melted tannins, a mineral note evoking flint, and a very long and aromatic finish.
