Marguerite Mascart-Chalibert, born Marguerite Chalibert in Paris in 1895 and died in 1983, is a French painter best known for her specialization in floral watercolor and still lifes. Known under her married name Mascart-Chalibert, she developed her distinctive style during the 20th century, notably during the Art Deco period around the 1930s. The artist exhibited her works at the prestigious Salon des Indépendants in Paris, contributing to the renewal of the floral genre alongside other figures of her time. Her compositions often depict vibrant bouquets of roses, anemones, peonies, or carnations, often painted on vellum paper or Lana. Several of her original works were also reproduced as silkscreen prints in the 1950s, published by Jack Cavalan.
