THE CHAIR OF FLOWERS

Artist: Valdi
Series: Interior Garden
Technique: Acrylic on canvas

Description:

The chair of flowers transforms a common object into the stage for a celebration of color and nature. Upon a yellow chair rests a transparent crystal vase from which an exuberant bouquet of flowers emerges. The composition turns this small domestic corner into a space full of vitality, freshness, and beauty.

Valdi builds the scene through an intense chromatic relationship. The deep greens of the background contrast with the bright yellow of the chair, while the red, pink, violet, and white flowers reveal an extraordinary visual richness. The defined lines, stylized shapes, and the transparency of the vase add rhythm and balance to a composition where each element gains its own presence.

The chair, usually associated with rest and human presence, becomes here the support of a small garden. This transformation introduces a particular sensitivity: the flowers seem to occupy someone’s place, taking over the space and filling it with life. The work invites us to discover the beauty that can arise from the simplest encounters between objects and nature.

With her characteristic pictorial language, Valdi combines the tradition of the still life with a contemporary, vibrant, and personal interpretation. The chair of flowers is a painting that conveys joy and warmth, capable of turning a seemingly simple scene into an image of great expressive power and personality.
