Description from the seller
This pair of splendid decanters can be identified as the famous Harcourt 1841 crystal carafe, produced by the prestigious French manufactory Baccarat.
The Harcourt 1841 collection represents the oldest and most iconic line in the archives of the French maison.
The unmistakable visual elements that certify its design include:
• The solid, geometric hexagonal base, which provides stability and a distinctive architectural footprint.
• The six flat-cut facets (wide and smooth-finished) that capture and reflect light, highlighting the brilliance typical of pure crystal.
• The characteristic milled, diamond-shaped stopper that elegantly crowns the neck of the bottle.
• The neck is long and cylindrical, marked by vertical facets that recall the body’s craftsmanship. At the base of the neck is a raised, facet-cut ring, a typical element of antique glassware that serves both as decoration and a safety grip to prevent the hand from slipping during serving.
• The upper mouth ends with a bevelled, hexagonal flared edge, perfectly shaped to accommodate the stopper.
They do not bear a mark; made before the introduction of the 1930s... They have numbers on the neck, internally, 7 and 13...
In good condition with normal signs of wear and use.
See photos for condition and measurements.
I do not ship outside the European Community.
The lot will be carefully packed and shipped in a reinforced polystyrene box.
