Dutch School (XX), signed J. Hozeman - Autumn Forest Landscape

J. Noteman. Dutch School, 20th Century. Autumn Forest Landscape – Oil on Canvas

A peaceful autumn landscape showing a wooded path beside a quiet stretch of water. Tall trees frame the view, leading the eye towards a small wooden bridge in the distance. Their golden foliage and soft reflections create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The painting is executed with loose, visible brushstrokes and a rich palette of ochre, golden yellow, brown and muted green. Cooler shades of blue in the water and distant sky bring light and balance to the composition.
We chose this work for its beautiful autumn colours and tranquil character. The path, bridge and reflections give the landscape a natural sense of depth, while the expressive brushwork keeps it fresh and lively. It is an attractive, decorative painting that would bring warmth and colour to an interior.
The painting is presented in the decorative gilt frame shown in the photographs. Its warm golden tones complement the autumn colours particularly well.
