Life of AMReyes. Born in 1991, she discovered from a very young age that drawing was not just a hobby, but a way to translate the world. In 2010, she graduated with honors from the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts. There she consolidated an exceptional technique in oil painting, acrylic, and life drawing, foundations that later would shape her conceptual signature.
Her early career unfolded amid cultural effervescence, actively participating in young art salons and group exhibitions. Her work began to stand out immediately: in salons and exhibitions, earning numerous prizes and mentions.
AMReyes’ work is distinguished by a visceral, imposing realism that catches the eye at once. However, her proposal does not stay at mere photographic mimesis. On anatomies worked with rigor or faces filled with deep psychographic expressivity, the artist overlays and integrates icons, allegories, and conceptual elements: wings that seem invisible to the bearer, suspended threads, dense blocks of color, or garments packed with symbolism. For her, the human body and the everyday figure are the perfect canvas to reflect on identity.
This fusion of technical mastery and symbolic narrative opened the path to her international projection. Over the last decade, her pieces have been acquired by private collectors and galleries in Spain, where her conceptual language connects with European expressionism.
United States: Included in private collections dedicated to contemporary Latin American art.
Belgium and Poland: Exhibited at figurative art fairs and avant-garde galleries.
Russia: Acquired by collectors fascinated by technical rigor and the school of realism.
Currently, AMReyes resides in Spain, the country where she has established her studio and consolidated a new creative phase. Far from the quick commercial noise, she continues to develop her artistic life with patience and rigor, exploring painting as a tool of universal introspection. Her studio today is a space of constant creation, where each brushstroke continues to reveal those truths and hidden icons that we all carry inside, but that we often find hard to see.
