Vallauris Schwar - Vase - Ceramic

Magnificent and rare vintage sports trophy in Vallauris ceramic, made by the Création Schwar workshops. This unique piece bears witness to the history of youth football and French ceramic art of the 1960s.
Decoration: The body of the cup is richly hand-illustrated with stylized football scenes showing two players in action contending for the ball. The other face bears the commemorative handwritten inscription: “CHAMPION CADET FSGT 1967-1968” on a parchment-yellow background that contrasts with a glossy black glaze.
Architectural details: The cup features two broad geometric hollowed handles in a lattice-like mesh shape. The rim and the flared foot are accented with superb gold borders.
Signature: The interior of the rim bears the authentic hand-painted signature: “CRÉATION SCHWAR VALLAURIS.”
Condition: Vintage overall good. The glaze retains splendid chips and vivid colors. Note some mild wear consistent with age and the artisanal nature of the piece (small nicks around the edges or base, visible in the photos).
