Description from the seller
The Silence of the Distant House
A white house with a golden roof emerges at the center of a stark landscape, built through broad horizontal bands of color. Three trees with bright canopies accompany its discreet presence, distributing small vertical accents along the clear line of the ground. The sky occupies a significant part of the composition and fades from intense pink to pale, milky tones, until it meets a warm orange expanse. A barely suggested celestial disk emphasizes the scene’s suspended character. At the bottom, greens and turquoises progressively thicken into a more tactile surface, animated by vegetal marks and small touches of light. The balance between the simplicity of the architecture and the breadth of chromatic space gives the painting a contemplative quality: the house becomes a point of quiet, gathered in the immensity of the landscape.
