This painting presents an open and silent landscape, in which a solitary figure advances through a wide meadow surrounded by tall, slender trees. Their small size compared to the vastness of the surroundings emphasizes the sense of space and solitude, inviting us to imagine them traveling the field calmly. The trees are distributed on both sides of the landscape and form a kind of natural corridor that leaves the center of view free.
