This painting presents a wide, bright rural landscape, dominated by a golden field that extends across almost the entire foreground. The earth seems covered with ripe cereal, whose ears and grasses lean gently and form a surface rich in yellows, ochres and browns. Among the vegetation a few small flowers emerge, discreet touches of color that animate the field without breaking its harmony. The eye travels this warm expanse until reaching a narrow green band and, beyond, the buildings and trees signaling the presence of a small community.

In the center of the landscape sits a simple-looking rural house, with reddish and light walls and a low roof that blends into the surroundings. Next to it are other smaller structures, partially obscured by trees and vegetation. The group of buildings appears to be perched at the edge of the field, as if the cultivated lands began almost at the doorstep of the homes. The warm tones of their façades dialogue with the golden color of the crops, while the surrounding trees provide shadows and green hues.
