Poliani Marisa (1941 - 2017), Coordinate, 1988, mixed media on wooden panel, 100 x 100 cm.

A work of evident visual impact, recognisable as part of the artist's personal research, in which images apparently arising from "scribbles" generate polychrome cushions, fragments of a kaleidoscope with perceptual symbolic valences.
With its particular construction, through wooden tiles derived from the shapes defined by the traced graphics, a kind of material puzzle, the work enhances a substantial materiality, almost a living organic mosaic; at the same time there is an affinity with the postmodern expressions of the 1980s.

The work was purchased on the occasion of the well-known international exhibition ArteFiera in Bologna, in 1988 (the show catalogue is attached).
