Description from the seller
Extraordinary lot consisting of 8 mid-sized vintage posters dedicated to the poetic and visionary universe of Jean-Michel Folon, one of the most refined illustrators and artists of European late 20th century.
Note: This is a later edition printed in 1977
The works feature Folon’s typical suspended and metaphysical subjects: solitary figures, rarefied landscapes, symbolic eyes, imaginary architectures, and subdued color tones that oscillate between dream and melancholy. An extremely coherent set with a strong visual impact, perfect both for collectors and for high-end interior decoration.
The lot includes posters linked to significant events and galleries such as:
* Galerie de France
* Artel Galerie Genève
* Spoleto Festival 1977
* La Spirale (film)
* Festibel Film
and other iconic subjects of the artist.
