Description from the seller

Beautiful old holy-water basin made of biscuit porcelain on which an angel with blue wings holds a shell-shaped bowl.
Absolutely divine little angel dressed in flowing pink robes edged with gold, a golden heart necklace and a flower crown with a large shell, all framed by the beautiful blue wings.
Hand-painted.
On the back, there is an S mark on the wing.
At the back there are two holes for mounting.

Ooit gebruikt om heilig water uit de gezegende kerk te bevatten
This charming piece has such a serene, benevolent expression on the angel's face and will grace the home with its calming presence.
Neo-Baroque drama & subject matter. The angel (putto or cherub) is rendered with soft, somewhat theatrical features, flowing hair and graceful wings.
Rococo elements: The holy-water basin is shell-shaped, a typical Rococo motif.

A perfect gift idea for a housewarming gift, Christmas gift...
