AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Pilates Gone Bananas - UNIQUE - 80x100cm

A giant pilates ball and a banana-dressed chihuahua make for the most ridiculous fitness session imaginable! Our little star stands proudly on top of the enormous ball, balancing like a professional acrobat. His two friends stand on either side, one keeping a watchful eye and the other looking utterly bewildered by the whole thing. It looks less like a pilates class and more like a circus act, but nobody seems particularly concerned. No sweating, no stretching, just three chihuahuas turning an ordinary workout into an extraordinary spectacle. Who needs a personal trainer when you have these balancing skills?

WHY WORTH THE PRICE:

Original acrylic artwork on canvas with the pencil work for the meticulous details and textures. 100% hand-painted. Gallery estimate: up to €1,500. Signed by the artist on the back side with title, year, and the artist's full name. Hand-signed certificate of authenticity with a dry seal included. Characters appear monumental and comical with Roger's unique sense of humour at play. The lines are bold, the colours vibrant, and the figures sharply defined. Part of creative collaboration with Anna Dart. Shipped carefully rolled (without a frame) in a protective tube for a safe delivery. The artwork might appear differently in photos, depending on the camera settings. Scale is doing real work here as at 1 metre wide, the portrait takes up a dominant space in your room. Some of the photographs show the painting digitally placed in an interior for reference.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Roger Haus [1984] has been delivering the wow factor in his work for over a decade. Trained at La Llotja Art and Crafts Academy in Barcelona, one of Spain's oldest and most prestigious art institutions, where renowned artists like Picasso and Miró honed their craft, Roger Haus later continued his training at IDEP Academy, known for its strong emphasis on technological integration. Meanwhile, passionate about manga, street art, and photography, he filled the streets with graffiti and his notebooks with daily illustrations. In 2015, Roger expressed an interest in the use of generative networks for his drawings and paintings, making him one of the early pioneers. Today, his art has been exhibited in the USA, Canada, France, Spain, Switzerland, Japan, and South Korea, making big waves on social media. Roger has collaborated with prominent institutions, including Universal Music, the Picasso Museum, CaixaForum, and the Joan Miró Foundation. A surrealist at heart, Roger embraces automatism for the spontaneous expression, inviting you to step a little closer into an exciting world of infinite possibilities.
