Description from the seller
MiLo – “Crosscurrents”
A work by Amsterdam-based artist MiLo (1976).
“Crosscurrents” is an expressive abstract composition in black, off-white and grey, animated by fine rust-red traces. Sweeping strokes intersect with scratches, drips and smaller marks, creating a layered surface with areas of subtle relief. The shifting lines suggest movement and tension while leaving the image open to interpretation.
Painted in acrylic on cotton canvas, the work can be hung in any direction, allowing the composition to take on a different balance as it is turned.
About the Artist
MiLo (1976) is an Amsterdam-based artist with a background in photography and art studies. He has sold more than 900 original works, now held in collections across Europe, the United States, Hong Kong and Taiwan. His eclectic practice spans Pollock-inspired action painting, precise geometric compositions and layered, scratched surfaces. Exploring themes of construction and erosion, memory and transformation, MiLo creates abstract works in which gesture, texture and process leave room for multiple interpretations.
