This dazzling oil-on-canvas work is framed in a hyperrealistic style with deep symbolic and surrealist overtones, characterized by an impeccable technique in handling textures, ornamental details, and a dramatic contrast between the darkness of the background and the luminosity of the figure, framed by a golden full moon.
The composition features an oriental woman with closed eyes and a contemplative expression, her hair gathered and adorned with pink flowers and golden pendants, whose porcelain skin is intricately veined by the ancient art of Kintsugi, where the cracks on her face and shoulder are sealed with molten gold as a butterfly flits at her side.
Through this powerful and poetic visual allegory, the artist seeks to express the deep beauty of human vulnerability, the overcoming of pain and inner healing, showing that scars and life's trials, when embraced and ennobled, transform fragility into an eternal and majestic work of art.
