The School of the Fruit Garden is a work of botany and arboriculture written by Marie Jean de La Bretonnerie – new edition revised, corrected and expanded by the author of the Almanach du Bon Jardinier in Paris, at Brunot-Labé – LI pp, 597 pp, 725 pp – full calfskin of the period – in-12 – 11 x 17.5 cm.

Condition: Headcaps in good condition, joints solid, one corner bruised, spine with raised bands adorned with gilded ornaments and the pieces for the title and volume, occasional foxing, speckled edges. Complete in 2 volumes. A fine copy.

Contents: It follows the work L'École du jardin potager (attributed to De Combles or to La Bretonnerie depending on the edition) and deals with the origin of fruit trees, the soils suitable for them, and the methods to improve difficult lands.
