MARTE’s work is characterized by a balanced palette and soft brushstrokes complemented by subtle glazes. They are compositions with a meditative spirit, and their scenes are aimed at conveying an idea associated with a strong experience. That is why the construction of the pictorial scene is fundamental to evoke that dreamlike vision. Their works may include many themes but follow the same conceptual thread that is clearly observable in all their paintings.

The references regarding trends and artistic movements are varied, ranging from classical and modern art to contemporary art, drawing influence primarily from abstract art, as well as conceptual art, and also impressionism, expressionism, surrealism, cubism, and landscape or classic landscape painting, with touches of romanticism and realism. On the other hand, multiple artists have influenced the formation of their work, including Pablo Picasso, Mark Rothko, M. Spiewak, Salvador Dalí, Dam Domido, Joan Miró, Ivanka Matiss, Henri Matisse, and others who are sometimes more current than others but always learning from the mastery and sensitivity of other artists, among whom there may also be: V. Kandinsky, Renoir, N. Correa, Wilfredo Lam, La Nord, Max Ernst, Ester Reut, P. Gauguin, Giogia, Sven Pels, A. Warhol, Juan Gris, Volha, Vladau, Morisch, Barnett Newman, Rhul, Rodríguez, Willem de Kooning, etc. “No canvas is painted in solitude; we are the echo of others’ brushes” S. Dalí.
