Marinus de Jongere (1912-1977) - Zicht op de Rotterdamse haven

Marinus de Jongere (1912 - 1977) is the pseudonym of Marius Drulman, one of the best-known harbor painters of the last century. It is almost always about one of the ports of Rotterdam, before or after the war. In addition, he also painted landscapes, again mainly of around Rotterdam.

The work of De Jongere is spread all over the world. Even in his own time he was worldwide known. For example, he sold paintings to the Greek shipping magnate Onassis and to the American president L.B. Johnson. His work hangs in six different Dutch museums.
