Signed, silver-plated elephant sculpture by Fratelli Magrino, made in Italy, measuring 4 × 5 × 4 cm and in good condition.
Description from the seller
This sculpture is not just a decorative trinket, but a work bearing the signature of the famous Florentine manufactory founded by master sculptor and craftsman Alessandro Magrino. Active in Florence since 1979, Fratelli Magrino are synonymous with excellence in fine silverware and art sculpture in Italy. Renowned worldwide for their ability to fuse the Tuscan Renaissance tradition with modern expressiveness, their pieces have historically been sought after by collectors and lovers of beauty.
The statuette is finely plated in precious, pure 925 sterling silver (Sterling Silver), which gives the animal an extraordinary metallic luster and a play of mirrored reflections that catch the light from any angle.
The most magnetic aspect of this creation is the anatomical rendering. Every centimeter of the sculpture is characterized by masterful workmanship:
• The texture of the skin: The dense, deep wrinkles typical of the elephant’s hide are chiseled with incredible definition, imparting a strong tactile and dynamic sense.
• The expressive force: The proud gaze, the large ears molded with soft natural folds, and the splendid tusks create a perfect contrast between glossy areas and deep shadows.
• The raised trunk: Sculpted in the classic good-omen pose, the elephant with the trunk raised upward symbolizes, according to tradition, health, wisdom, prosperity, and triumph over obstacles.
