In this vertical format, Popsan installs Sans-Visage, the masked spirit from Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away, at the heart of a banquet in the great hall of Aburaya. Seated on the tatami mats, enormous and black, he overturns a bowl of rice and tempura into the gaping mouth that opens at the bottom of his white mask, and grains of rice fall back onto his chest. In the other hand, he grips a handful of gold nuggets. Around him rise piles of red and black bowls with golden patterns, along with a plate of half-eaten fish and a bottle of saké, white with a blue bloom.

To the left, two maids in pink and blue kimono hurry over, arms laden with bowls, while a third has collapsed in fatigue on the floor. To the right, another places the gold into a wooden chest. Behind, an indigo curtain marked 茶 opens onto a blue sea-mountain by the water. In the top right, the title 千と千尋の宴 is rendered in black next to a red cartouche.
