Large Antique Altar Cross – Solid Brass Corpus Christi - 45 cm - Brass - 1930-1940

Groot Antiek Altaarkruis – Massief Messing Corpus Christi – ca. 1930

Impressive and solidly crafted standing altar cross with Corpus Christi, made of brass. The cross features characteristic clover-shaped ends and a decorative INRI band.

The heavy base consists of three parts: a brass upper section, a dark middle layer, and a heavy lower piece, presumably marble or another natural stone. The combination gives the whole a monumental appearance.

The finely cast corpus of Christ is detailed. The cross is in a beautiful antique condition with normal signs of aging, patina and signs of use. The photos show the condition and construction and are part of the description
