AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
- Four Versions -
ORIGINAL Painting, character portraiture by ARVY
The painting is 100% hand-painted using highly pigmented artist-grade acrylic paints, and finished with a UV-protective satin varnish. It is created on unprimed, firm, robust, and kink-resistant gallery-quality canvas (360 g/m²) without a stretcher frame.
Dimensions: 105x165 cm (entire canvas)
Artwork Overview:
The same thing happened to all four of them. Each remembered a different story.
Four crowned figures stand together like witnesses after an event that can no longer be reconstructed. The figure on the left observes through two watchful eyes and a circular third eye, collecting more detail than any mind could safely keep. Beside it, a geometric character divides experience into separate compartments: a red eye above, another pale circle below. The third compresses everything into one intense blue-centred gaze and a clenched mouth, while the final round-headed figure preserves only a single enlarged detail. They share the same space, but not the same testimony.
In Four Versions, ARVY presents memory not as a recording, but as an act of creation. Emotion decides what remains. Fear enlarges certain moments. Desire quietly edits the rest. The crown-like forms make every interpretation appear sovereign—each character is convinced that its fragment contains the whole truth.
Black silhouettes form a powerful rhythm against the weathered cream ground. Cobalt blue, burgundy, orange and olive green punctuate the composition, while deliberately naïve distortion and restless neo-expressionist marks keep every version unstable. Scratches, revisions and wandering lines resemble memories repeatedly erased and redrawn.
Truth may begin as a shared event, but the story becomes personal the moment it enters the mind.

Artist Bio:
ARVY is a fourth-generation artist continuing a family legacy of visual and performance art. He studied painting at an art college, graduating in 2016, and has been active in the art world ever since.
Raised in a creative household, ARVY began his artistic path in childhood while assisting his father — painter, illusionist and performer Arvydas Gaičiūnas ( Retne ), co-founder of Magic Theater DiArchy. This early exposure to both visual art and stage performance shaped his distinctive, theatrical sensibility.
ARVY’s work is eclectic and emotionally charged, blending elements of contemporary expressionism, symbolism, street energy, and poetic abstraction. His pieces explore contrasts — chaos and harmony, intuition and control — reflecting the pulse of modern life through vivid color and raw gesture.
He has exhibited internationally and his works are held in private collections across Europe. Beyond painting, ARVY is also known for his creative versatility as a musician and digital creator, bringing the same intensity and imagination to sound, movement, and image.
Thank you for considering ARVY’s work. This portrait is sure to be a standout addition to any collection of modern or contemporary art!
