Sébastienne Marre (1912-1992), whose real name was Jeannette Louise Marguerite Marre, was a French painter of the 20th century. The only daughter of painter Henri Marre, a close associate of Henri Martin, she grew up immersed in the art world in Toulouse. She split her artistic and personal life between Montauban and the famous coastal village of Collioure. During the 1940s she associated with many artists of her generation.
Her varied style is expressed through techniques such as oil on canvas, pastels, and engraving. She drew inspiration from diverse themes ranging from still lifes to coastal landscapes. Notably, she produced works depicting local scenes and seascapes. In March 1950, her work was the subject of a notable exhibition at the Galerie Jeanne Castel in Paris. Today, her paintings are part of the public collections of the Musée d'Art Moderne de Collioure. The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux also preserves some of her paintings, such as Portrait of a Woman in a Florally Adorned Hat.
