On the outside back of the case are the precious official hallmarks "10k gold filled bulova" and, crucial for collectors, the code "L1", which according to Bulova's dating system certifies production in 1951. the case bears serial number 3749620 and the inner case back shows the hallmark "bulova - fifth ave - new york". The gold plating is rich and bright, with no significant wear.

MOVEMENT
the heart of the watch is a prestigious manual-wind mechanical movement of American manufacture, Bulova caliber 10BM. Unlike standard calibers of the time, this is an exceptional version with 21 jewels, stamped "bulova watch co. u.s.a.". The movement is enhanced by the date code "L1" (consistent with the case, year 1951) and presents itself visually clean, bright, and well preserved in its bridges. The mechanism remains perfectly functional and keeps good time.

the original dial features an ivory/cream coloration of great vintage charm with the signature Bulova Excellency. It presents a railroad-track outer minute scale finely printed, elegant raised gold-toned Arabic numerals alternating with arrow-shaped geometric indices, and a small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock of square shape. The original hands display the characteristic glossy gold color and a clean, geometric line.

STRAP
the watch is equipped with a modern replacement leather strap, with a glossy crocodile-embossed finish in a reddish-brown color. Lug width 16 mm, suitable for a wrist of 16 to 19 cm, complete with a gold-plated pin buckle that perfectly echoes the warm and precious tone of the case.
