This Raymonda musical box, made of porcelain, enamel and gold plating, dates from 1990–2000.
Description from the seller
Magnificent collectible music box “Raymonda”, created by the House of Fabergé for The Franklin Mint, part of the prestigious Collection of Imperial Music Boxes.
This remarkable fine porcelain piece pays homage to the famous Russian ballet “Raymonda,” composed by Alexander Glazunov, and is distinguished by the richness of its décor, its magnificent colors, and its sumptuous 24-carat gold gilding.
The box, heart-shaped, features a superb deep red backdrop, adorned with scenes inspired by the ballet, portraying characters in period costumes in delicate shades of blue, pink, and green, surrounded by golden floral motifs.
Its elegant lid is richly worked in the guilloché technique, with beautiful enamels in Bordeaux tones and golden ornaments, enhanced by a central pearl-like cabochon.
The whole rests on small decorative gold feet. The lid opens to reveal an interior designed to hold small jewelry or precious objects. A musical mechanism completes this creation inspired by the traditions of Imperial Russian jewelry making.
The underside bears the original markings “Raymonda,” the Fabergé monogram, and “TFM.”
Condition: Good overall condition, with a few minor signs of wear. The gilding and enameled decors are well preserved. See the many detailed photographs, which are an integral part of the description.
Careful shipping, professional packaging, and shipping with tracking.
Happy bidding on Catawiki!!!
