Jules Verne - Le rayon vert - 1882

VERNE, JULES. — THE GREEN RAY (PARIS, HETZEL, [1882], PUBLISHER'S BINDING WITH INITIALS).
Paris: Hetzel Collection, [1882].
Large octavo. Publisher's red percaline binding with initials and gilded edges.
Remarkable copy of this original edition in its publisher's first-issue binding.

Copy kept in good overall condition. Bright red percaline, with gold frames and the tooling on the first cover in good condition; second cover clean, spine with small losses and localized wear at the headpieces (notably the upper head). Gatherings well bound, bright gilded edges, paper sound with very rare foxing, illustrations by Léon Benett perfectly preserved.

Very beautiful copy!
