Eucrite Slice - 76.2 g - (1)

For sale is an extraordinary, 76.2-gram polished disk of the meteorite Jikharra 001, discovered in Libya in 2022.

Jikharra 001 is officially classified as Eucrite, a highly sought-after achondrite type that originates directly from the crust of the asteroid 4 Vesta. Eucrites are differentiated igneous rocks that resemble terrestrial basalts and offer a fascinating connection to the earliest volcanic processes on large protoplanets in our solar system billions of years ago.

This specimen stands out for its impressive size for an Eucrite disk, a fine surface finish with beautifully visible matrix textures as well as a clear visual contrast.

The piece is an ideal highlight for any high-end meteorite collection, and a corresponding authenticity certificate is included with the delivery.
