AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Antique silver open-face men's pocket watch, dating from around 1900. The exterior of the case back features classic guilloché work with a blank cartouche in the center. The inside of the case back is officially hallmarked for a silver fineness of 0.800, bears the German Imperial silver mark (crescent moon and crown), and displays the maker's mark "EXTRA" in a cartouche. The cover is also stamped with the serial number 13593 12. The watch has a smooth metal inner dust cover to protect the movement.

The white enamel dial is in neat, original condition, with a very clear and classic layout. The hours are indicated by slender black Roman numerals, with fine Arabic minute markings (from 5 to 60) on the outer track. The time is shown by elegantly shaped, openwork, dark-colored hands, and a recessed subsidiary seconds dial with its own scale is positioned at 6 o'clock. The edge of the case features subtle, gold-colored Galonné detailing.

The mechanical movement is a high-quality Swiss lever movement (Lépine caliber), produced by the renowned manufacturer Felsa (or supplied through the exporter A. Lunser, Berlin, who registered the "EXTRA" trademark for the German market). The plate bears the number 77 12. The movement features a fine regulator with the balance markings A/F (Avance/Fast) and R/S (Retard/Slow). The wheels and bridges have an attractive matte gold finish, and the mechanism is in clean, visually and mechanically complete collector's condition.
