A Shared Morning

A Shared Morning depicts a moment of calm facing the sea. A woman gazes at the horizon from the terrace while, just a few steps away, a black cat also directs its gaze outward. Without needing contact between them, the scene conveys a silent sense of companionship.

The great flowering tree occupies a large part of the composition and frames the landscape with its greens and small pink accents. The figure’s dress, the pots, and the geometric ground introduce a luminous range that contrasts with the blue expanse of the sea and turns the terrace into a space filled with vitality.

The work finds its meaning in a everyday gesture: sharing a moment without the need for words. Woman and cat stay together before the same horizon, each from their own place, as the morning seems to unfold slowly before them.

With its figurative language and an intense, luminous palette, Valdi transforms a domestic scene into a celebration of those small moments of intimacy that often go unnoticed. A Shared Morning speaks of companionship, contemplation, and the simple pleasure of starting the day alongside someone.”}{
