1980 - Figurine

Fascinating vintage sculpture/trophy depicting a racing cyclist in full aerodynamics, characterized by fluid and stylized lines that recall the Modernist style and Art Deco. The athlete figure is made in heavy solid metal (bronze or brass), with a beautiful natural patina of time.
On the back of the sculpture is clearly impressed the mark "MOD. DEP." (Model Deposited), testifying to authenticity and the registration of the industrial design of the era. The statuette rests firmly on a cube-like block of precious veined marble in red/brown tones (typical Verona red).
The object presents itself in excellent vintage condition, solid and structurally intact, with very slight signs of time on the marble that accentuate its historical charm. Perfect for collectors of cycling memorabilia, lovers of modern design (moderniazione) and vintage/antique goods.
