Description from the seller

Museum-quality Viennese bronze (“Nam Greb”) – Orientalist Slave Scene

For sale is an exceptionally rare, highly sought-after collectible of Orientalist art: a masterfully crafted Viennese bronze from the workshop of Franz Xaver Bergmann, signed on the back with his well-known pseudonym “Nam Greb” alongside the original foundry mark. The sculptural piece is striking for its dramatic dynamism and depicts a bent-over Oriental man unveiling a kneeling woman beneath a green garment.

• Depiction: Intricately detailed Orientalist scene (“Unveiling of the Slave Girl”)
• Finish: Cold-painted / polychrome bronze
• Markings: Signed Nam Greb and foundry mark (Bergmann jug with a B) on the base
• Dimensions: Height 14 cm | Width 10 cm | Depth 9 cm
• Weight: Solid 821 g
• Condition: Very well-preserved antique condition, with expressive patina and subtle color variations.

A true gem for discerning collectors and admirers of historical Viennese bronzes!
I am dissolving my collection.
