AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Original work by contemporary painter Juan Escauriaza, titled “Two Chimneys,” created in 2005 in acrylic on linen and signed by the artist.
The composition depicts a seemingly simple domestic architecture —a roof/cover, two chimneys, and an open sky— transformed into a scene of quiet, elegant atmosphere. Escauriaza handles light with subtlety, achieving an almost photographic sensation, but reinterpreted through contemporary painting.
The work stands out for:
• Great compositional balance in a panoramic format (50 x 100 cm)
• Precise treatment of the light and sky
• Clean, restrained, and sophisticated painting
• Contemporary aesthetic with a strong decorative character
• Signed and titled on the back
It is an ideal piece for modern interiors, architecture, an office, or a private collection oriented toward high-quality contemporary figurative painting.
