Description from the seller
Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-born artist whose life is rooted in artisanal mastery. For forty years he has worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small town among the hills of Le Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, varnishing and chroming.
The turning point of his life arrives with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to release the artistic urgency he has always guarded. What for decades had been "only" a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern pop sculptures, vibrant and ironic. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent.

In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these stand out the presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the Centro d'Arte e Cultura VERUM and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Collezione Privata Fuser. From artisan to signature of the Neo-Pop panorama, Sagrasse shows how a lifetime’s experience can be transformed into pure and recognized artistic expression.
Sagrasse is not merely an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colored mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, bright, ironic and irresistibly modern.
Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly into the trail of New Pop Art and Urban Art. If the association with Banksy is evident for the strong satirical charge, the irony and the ability to reinterpret icons of everyday life or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, Richard Orlinski.
The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation.
It is a handcrafted work, conceived and crafted entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of entirely manual workmanship.
It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean without detergents, but only with a soft cloth."
