O. Delgado - Fishman XL

Fishman

A figure with a straw hat, dark sunglasses and a striped shirt holds a large blue fish. The scene has something of a classical portrait, but with a contemporary and carefree attitude.

The composition plays with the contrast between the blue of the fish and the clothing, the intense green of the background and the orange of the foreground. The flowers and plant forms add rhythm and frame the character, while the visible brushstrokes keep the image direct and spontaneous.

The work combines everyday elements with an almost iconic presence. The character does not need to tell their story: their posture and attitude are enough to suggest character, confidence and a certain sense of humor.

Fishman is a contemporary figurative painting, with bold colors and a Mediterranean aesthetic, that stands out for its personality and its way of combining the everyday with a graphic and forceful image.
