French Literature & Illustrated Book Auction (Expert's choice)

Period binding in full leather (calf/chagrin) with marbled panels. Boards well patinated. Notable significant wear: pronounced rubbing at the joints (hinges), worn spine ends, and leather rubbed in places on the back. A handsome collectible copy that would merit a light restoration or could be kept as-is for its historical patina.
