Music box - Italy - 1960-1970

Inlaid musical jewelry table with a carillon from the 60s/70s. The piece stands out for the splendid and detailed marquetry on the upper surface, featuring rich geometric and floral motifs with contrasting woods, of a typically Italian artisanal character. The structure rests on four slender sabre-shaped legs that give the piece both stability and a sense of dynamism. The upper surface opens with a flip-top. Inside, it houses a storage compartment originally designed as a jewelry box or sewing box, with integrated compartments, and it is equipped with an internal musical carillon mechanism that activates when the lid is opened, fully functional. Overall vintage condition is good. It shows normal and light signs of time and use on the surface and on the glossy finish, which testify to its authenticity and age.
