Description from the seller
Oil on canvas, poetic and serene, by the French artist Jean Le Rohellec. The work transports the viewer to a coastal atmosphere of subtle marine beauty, where the horizon line blurs between sea and sky wrapped in a light haze. The composition centers on the solitary presence of fishing boats anchored in calm waters, resolved with a delicate palette of celeste tones, softly purplish grays and golden nuances that capture the subtle light of dawn or dusk.
The piece is signed by the author in the lower right corner (J. Le Rohellec). It is presented in a golden-era wooden frame with a fabric mat that enhances the depth and serenity of the scene, ready to be displayed.
Its dimensions are 81 x 66 cm with frame and 65 x 50 cm without frame.
Regarding its condition, the work is in generally good condition, maintaining the proper tension of the canvas on its original wooden stretcher, as well as a clean and stable pictorial layer, as documented in the images. It is an ideal piece for collectors of French marine painting and lovers of contemplative mid-20th-century art.
