The clothespins are not just a formal element, but an act. They lock the image in an intermediate state, as if it had been stopped while trying to expand or escape. The face remains recognizable, but it is compressed, forced into a new form that alters its balance.

The work plays on the contrast between classical perfection and contemporary physical intervention. What was untouchable is manipulated, restrained, almost disciplined. It is not destroyed, but transformed under pressure.
