Title: From Another Century
Size: 40x30 cm
Year: 2025
Dante Bellacorte was born in Palermo in 1987. His painting focuses on figurative portraiture, reinterpreted through a contemporary sensibility and a strong connection to classical tradition. In his paintings, female faces emerge from dark, silent backgrounds, illuminated by warm, theatrical light. The painterly texture, the textures of the skin, and the intensity of the gazes create images suspended between melancholy, grace, and introspection. Through a refined, richly textured oil technique, Bellacorte brings timeless, fragile, and solemn figures to life, transforming portraiture into an intimate, poetic narrative.
NB: The artwork will be shipped in a sturdy tube suitable for shipping. The colors of the painting may differ slightly from the photos due to screen settings. In person, the artworks are even more beautiful than in photographs: you can appreciate the hypnotic beauty of the oil colors coming to life on the canvas.
