Mara. J XL - Peridot Grove

From a dark, deep background emerges a patch of green leaves, sharp and overlapping, supported by thin stems with violet reflections. Among the foliage appear small touches of pink and brick red, like sap surfacing. As it rises, the green lightens and blends with yellow-gold and sand-colored leaves, up to an opening full of light. The surface is built for successive, dense, grainy impressions, giving depth to each layer. The movement is entirely upward, from the quiet of the undergrowth to the brightness of the canopy. A fresh and vital work that breathes spring.
