Mara. J XL - Rhodonite Hedge

An intense and luminous pink fills the upper part of the canvas, densely layered with overlapping leaves that seem to vibrate in the light. As you go down, among the pink shapes dark silhouettes appear, increasingly present, opening the passage downward. At the base the color gathers into deep reds and burgundies, brightened by small shards of vermilion. Thin green stems rise from the bottom, discreet, crossing the layers. The surface is tactile, built up with impressions of vegetation and glazes. Out of it emerges a warm and lively image, where the pink light rests gently on a rich and deep earth.
