Description from the seller
MiLo – “Threefold Bloom”
A work by Amsterdam-based artist MiLo (1976).
Three dark, flower-like forms rise from a pale ground, each surrounded by loose splashes, smudges and delicate traces. The stems remain indistinct, appearing and disappearing into the textured surface. This gives the composition a feeling of movement, as if the flowers are caught between coming into focus and dissolving back into the background. The restrained palette keeps attention on the contrast between the dark blooms and the open space around them.
About the Artist
MiLo is an Amsterdam-based abstract painter whose practice moves from expressive gestures towards geometric structures and scratched, layered surfaces. His work explores construction and erosion, often evoking urban strata or cosmic maps, and reflects on memory and transformation. His paintings have been collected throughout Europe.
