This piece is an original creation by THREAD RAGS, an independent studio based in France.

It is made using an authentic pre-owned LOUIS VUITTON Keepall, available in size 50, 55 or 60, selected and then transformed to create a unique piece combining luxury, pre-owned fashion and textile art.

The creation features a 100% cotton tapestry depicting an interpretation of Van Gogh’s iconic work Café Terrace at Night, as well as a black, waterproof interior lining.

Each piece is designed and handmade in France. Its production requires several weeks of work, from preparing and designing the various elements to assembling them and adding the finishing touches.

About the creation:

Using a pre-owned LOUIS VUITTON bag as the base is an integral part of THREAD RAGS’ approach. Each bag may therefore show minor marks, signs of wear or characteristics resulting from its previous use. These features are inherent to the pre-owned nature of the piece and may vary from one item to another. They contribute to the unique character of each creation.
The materials used are authentic. The transformation, customization and finishing are carried out by THREAD RAGS in France.

This is an independent creation made by THREAD RAGS using an authentic LOUIS VUITTON bag as its base. As Café Terrace at Night is a work in the public domain, this textile creation is an independent interpretation of the original artwork.

This creation is not an official collaboration with LOUIS VUITTON or the artwork in question. The creation offered is therefore the result of THREAD RAGS’ design, transformation and craftsmanship.
