AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

**The Approach**

Oil on canvas | 60 × 60 cm

Two people in a moment of immediate proximity. Their faces are turned toward each other, their bodies overlap. An encounter between touch and restraint, whose meaning remains open.

The reduced color palette of gray, black and broken whites gives the composition a special intensity. Strong, spontaneous brushstrokes, overlapped shapes and flowing contours let the figures merge with one another.

The faces remain partly fragmentary, while the gestures and postures come to the fore. The scene moves between figuration and abstraction.

“The Approach” is a contemporary figurative painting about human closeness and those moments when a gesture can express more than words.

**Original painting, oil on canvas, 60 × 60 cm.**

About me:
"My painting moves at the boundary between figuration and abstraction - a tense dialogue of expressive gesture, intense color worlds and intuitive dynamics.
Inspired by the energy of Abstract Expressionism, which moves between body and dissolution, chaos and harmony."
Each work is a process of questioning and rediscovery:
Lines break through surfaces.
Figures appear and disappear.
An emotionally charged dance between control and release."

Mila Veljac’a is an artist from Croatia. She trained at art academies in Croatia, Vienna, Salzburg and Stuttgart and for several years shared her expertise as a lecturer in visual arts.
